Birmingham Film Studio is host of the exclusive Actors Hub where actors in and around our region of the Midlands can come to our film studio for Masterclass Workshops with experienced industry professionals. During our launch of this community group in August 2025, we welcomed professionals such as award winning director Daniel Alexander and Red Lens founder and Acting Coach Shireenah Ingram through our studio doors. We also welcomed Bridgerton star, Claudia Jessie in our studio to share her experience and advice to local up and coming actors in our region.

We also offer the exclusive service of audition/self tape filming where actors can come and can get real life studio time with a camera operator and line-reader. Our studio team will sort all the tech with cameras, sound, backgrounds - all actors need to do is bring their script and act!

Self Tape / Audition Tape Filming
Saturday 15th November 2025
Our next Self Tape /Audition Tape Filming day is happening on Saturday 15th November. This is where YOU can book a 30-minute slot to get in a real studio and film your self tapes / audition tapes for upcoming roles you're going for! You can simply come and act while our team handles the lighting, backdrop, camera filming and editing. ​
This is open to all actors, whether you're starting out or you know what you're doing and just hate dealing with the filming of self tapes / audition tapes. It's a service ideal for actors and creatives who are putting themselves forward to multiple roles or want to build up their portfolio.

We've made this even more affordable for actors by offering discounts for anyone who is a member of the Actors Hub Community, or who is a member of Create Central or Royal Television Society.
